Is the Arabic program open to everyone?
This program is intended to teach Arabic to High School students (8-12 grades) who need a second language requirement to graduate from high school. However, students who do not seek credit to meet the second language High School requirement are also welcome to join.
A similar program for adults is also in the planning.
Does LUSD approve of this program?
LUSD has officially approved IAA to offer Arabic language courses ARB101, ARB102, and ARB103, from which LUSD will accept grades and credits for MHHS students. The approval was received on June 5th, 2024. You can find our program listed on the MHHS website. See registration below.
How do you register for this program at MHHS?
- Inform your school counselor that you will be taking Arabic classes with Iqraa Arabic Academy. More information can be found here on the MHHA website: Registration Instructions.
- If you have already registered for a different language, typically, you can drop that one at the beginning of the semester to continue with Arabic. Always check with your High School counselor for confirmation.
How many weeks does this program last?
The program is divided into three levels. We offer each level over a full academic year, which aligns with LUSD's academic year.
What is the cost of this program?
Each semester costs only $320.00, plus a $60 registration and book fee for the first semester. It can also be paid in monthly installments of $90.
What is your Holiday Schedule?
IAA holidays are aligned with the MHHS school year.
